I hope Molly is ok x Please dont ever apologise for what you speak about. If its too much for us we can always stop listening. I personally value greatly your openness and honesty and through your strength and bravery in sharing I gain my own strength x
I loved your photo of the lady who planted the 100 year old rhodie plant....however, my addled brain hadn't got as far as working out how she had to be even older than it till you pointed that out! Maybe she was a toddler at the time being introduced to gardening at an early ag🤔 My gardening skills are zero and I think it's down to the reasoning you gave and the not knowing if I'm doing it right so safer not to do it at all, although that's not a good way to live.
I hope your cat's visit to the vet has a positive outcome 🤞
Having a day as you suggest. Good way to put that!
First thing I heard in the ramble was that you were barefoot in the garden in your PJs just to say, love you were doing that ♥️ and also I love peonies.
I like a little potter in the garden normally - however there’s a lot to do at the moment. My hubby has been busy with edging a bed with stones, looks nice.
Pets as an anchor - we have a lovely silver tabby kitty in our family and she is gorgeous to stroke and just to be with, she’s so good for us all. Sending good thoughts to your cat for today.
No need to apologise for anything you speak about..we know what we signed up for!
It is all my hubby's hard work but our garden is looking lovely right now and it makes me doubly glad as this time last year he was really ill and couldn't do anything in the garden. The wonders of the NHS and modern medicine has bought him more quality time and that is truly a gift. Will post some pics on FB x
Poor Molly. I hope she will be ok. It is heart rending when our pets are poorly. My crazy, black fluff ball of a pooch brings me and my family so much grounding love and pleasure every day.
I love peonies too but they never had much of a chance in my garden, as my previous dog, Winston, used to like to regularly hurtle through them.
I love that there are always metaphors for life in a garden. Coexistence of weeds and flowers is a good one for today thank you Suzanne.
I’m learning a lot at the moment that pain and joy can coexist. It’s a hard lesson for me as I’ve always thought that if life is painful, then even if there is joy, I can’t pause to enjoy it.
I’m sorry you felt you needed to apologise to us for yesterday’s post. For me your raw openness and honesty helps me feel less alone and gives me courage to be open with myself and others too.
But I know that might not be the case for everyone. We are all unique and process pain in equally valid ways.
Loved walking round your garden with you. Hoping Molly is ok. Had my dog at the vets on Tuesday. Always a worry when they are ill. Currently walking her for first time all week (due to her not being right rather than my laziness 🤣) and realising yes what an anchor she is, especially through these difficult times. She often accompanied me when I need to walk to decompress. Today’s walk is after Camhs session this morning and before a GP visit later this afternoon. Given my son hates leaving the house and once a day is usually his limit, twice (and for not very pleasant events) is pretty tough going for him. A day inside is on the card for him to recover tomorrow though.

Sounds like a tough day, Mandy. I hope the appointments are positive and you can both enjoy some downtime afterwards x
