Thanks Suzanne

Dad's home very poorly but stable , my brother is home too awaiting histology results . I've been quiet to recover from the recent family hospitalisations, I've literally carried everyone else and it's the space where I can finally breathe and process . Like you I'm # awesome at helping others but so crap when it comes to even being aware of what I need. Found that bit sooooo hard on the PNP course!

But time is a healer, we need time , today I said 'no' twice to my neighbour, politely of course , and well that's new for me ๐Ÿ’ช

Nearly finished the surviving death series too ....very interesting

Had my second reiki session, it was fab ๐Ÿ˜

Not gone out today on purpose, although I love love nature , I'm always out everyday and needed an 'in' day .

Keep rambling Suzanne ,it's therapy for you and me and other listeners xx

Sooo glad you're getting out to 'walk and talk' and reaping the benefits. I can't put into words how much I'm missing my 'walk and talks' and my daily walks....struggling so much without them.

Look after your knees Suzanne. Now that you're walking everyday, make sure you replace your shoes before they get worn out (you probably know that already but think that contributed to my downfall) and apparently stretching our calves is really important too, even if walking is the only exercise.

Oh HJEJ, I'm so sad for you. It has been a practice for so long. Your dog and your friend must be missing you. Any news on how to repair the issue?

Great news on 'having' to buy more shoes! :D These ones are very bouncy but I will keep an eye on it. And thank you for listening. Now my mojo is coming back, maybe we can arrange our chats?

Thank you Suzanne ๐Ÿ˜˜ Rest, ice & calf stretching. 3 weeks with no improvement though. Trying to rest heels is near impossible without stopping every step & taking to bed. Orthotics in since Fri so hope & pray they give some relief & i can walk again. Poor dog only gets 1 walk a day with hubbie rather than 2. Yes I so miss my walks putting the world (or actually my head๐Ÿ˜‰) to rights with my friend.ย  We take the simplest things for granted until they're not possible. Had enough of this getting older malarkey๐Ÿ™„ So glad your Mojo is coming back ๐Ÿ˜ Yes, of course, to your last question but im not much company atm.

I've listened to & enjoyed every one of your Daily Rambles...used to be whilst walking but now in the car or in bed๐Ÿ˜’ ....you're taking me out where i can't go atm, thank you ๐Ÿค—

I have walked with you today......head held high, strode round village and park in my 'YES BAB!' hoodie....whereas I generally hide away in this village- from the people who I used to be friends with, from the people who have turned away from us, whereas I need to show them I don't actually give one about them AND model that to my precious boy. And I am nodding along with you as ever, with the sun on my face......taking a moment on a bench....CHALLENGE ACCEPTED SUZANNE!!! Literally just had an ex friend walk past me while I was typing this and I didn't notice until they had gone by, and I realise I care not.....TADAAAAA!!! Challenge completed!!.....small wins - me out of house, head high, sun om face, meeting my recent fears/'locals', AND son awake before 12 noon yesterday and today!!! May even get to do a sunny drive around with him later too X

Honestly, Lucy, I want your wardrobe! I love the Punks and Chancers stuff. I love even more that you've accepted the challenge, completed the challenge and shown the world - and yourself - who is in charge of how you feel - (hint: YOU!) Hope you get a sunny drive in today. I remember Sunday drives being a highlight of my week. There was a corner shop that sold those flakes cakes and my love of them and the opportunity to look out of the window at the world going by felt so calming. Thank you for sharing here and keep challenging yourself xx

On our drive right now....stopped for a sneaky McDonald's, driven past Twycross Zoo (potential trigger for son considering recent intrusive thoughts about escapee chimps....!!), lovely chats and giggles.. ..fresh air sort of but at least got son out of room and house!!

It's so important to honour and acknowledge progress made and the changes that come from the hard work. Sometimes we can overlook them, and looking back can help us see just how far we have come. Better at 51, than not at all, so huge well done. Many therapists now offer walk and talk sessions. I think that's a great idea and could see benefits for them (including not having to make eye contact). I talk to myself sometimes, as it's still a release and your voice being heard. You have two day 11's (think I mentioned it in the comments a while back), so you are on day 43 today xxx

Thanks for keeping track of the days! Yes, walk and talk therapy really exploded during lockdowns and it makes such a lot of sense on so many levels - emotional safety, sensory, the connection to nature, and processing the emotions.

And I talk to myself all the time; I'm a great listener ;) Hope you can get outside today and you've got the sunshine we have here xxx

Hi internet lady ! Think the emotional connection me and my husband get through doing the daily walk really hit home listening to this today ( I binged listened to the last few days - like a Netflix series!). We love getting out in the fresh air, have discovered what is on our doorstep but we have also talked so much more about the horrid last few years, no arguments and judgments and some very similar emotional feelings we both realise we share. Conversation always comes back to our daughter but on the walks that ok- direct conversation at home is usually โ€œnot this discussion again itโ€™s all we talk aboutโ€. Your memory is amazing, your recollection of you childhood and the 80โ€™s skirt - Made me think of my blue ra ra skirt ! I loved it ๐Ÿคช.
