I'm totally with the starstruck comment, superstar Suzanne!
Pmh ,pnp has taught me so much , I'm getting stronger to be my authentic truthful self with strangers , I used to freeze and fawn as default, now I'm daring to be me and I'm truly thankful to all that is pmh.
Your connection with Sarah sounds awesome , I've made some amazing friends on pmh and I'm looking forward to meeting them very soon.
Hope the rain 🌧 holds off tomorrow for your ramble .
Ps jess was 20 yesterday and she's doing so well , so proud of them xxxx
I wonder if intimidation was the correct word from your friend. I think perhaps starstruck is better? What I mean is, I build people up in my mind, they have made a big impact on my life without ever knowing (you,& others) so when I do talk to them I feel inadequate and unable to be myself. It feels like intimidation but realistically I guess a it like meeting a film star! Yea. I’ve just liken you to a film star 🤣⭐️
Yeah, we have lost a few friendships along the way, and some have become too difficult right now......largely because we don't/can't travel and also son has always found meet ups with other families really hard, and now impossible...so many of our friends have kids of a similar age, so many potential 'social opps', but just not for our family......and as a result the friendships die away too.....but we have absolutely had some good friendships 'proven' even more, and I have messenger contact with 2 people who do 'get it' nearly every day...1 who lives in our village and we meet up physically probably once or twice a year!....the other I have never met or spoken to......and these are definitely friendships I need!!!
Hi Suzanne- I’ve been told I am intimidating before too! I don’t get why either, but I do profess to being good at what I do, think out of the box, and stand up for those who can’t. So if that’s intimidating I’ll take it ! I didn’t notice your absence yesterday as I had an awful day, spent most of it in tears - but did have 2 good friends who listened while I sobbed in Morrisons car park! My husband didn’t get it - so grateful for my friends ! Really need to go back to the circle of control and setting my expectations down! Having said that glad you’re back and who really likes asparagus anyway !!
Hope today is a better day Deana. I haven't been told I am intimidating but have been told all manner of other things, including 'you do know people don't like you?', all because like you I insist on doing a good job and will always stand up for myself and others - boy has it got me into trouble, but heyho!! Sounds like you have good friends who no doubt benefit from you too x
Missed your ramble yesterday, but pleased you didn't risk it in the pitch dark. Glad it was a good and productive day for you though. What a talented sister-in-law you have! Not heard of Daylesford before, sounds nice but out of my price range?! So lovely that you got to meet Sarah - and connect with someone else with a growth mindset, and pleased it was so invigorating. Who wants to fit in a mold?! You weren't born for that!!!! You are so not intimidating, not one bit. People might feel intimidated but that's theirs, certainly not yours. Love a list ;) xxx
